FRS SUMMIT IV
Speed is not a drill.
Speed is a biological output.
Every step, cut, and strike is constrained by the force–time behavior of tissues. If the system cannot generate or absorb force quickly enough, the desired speed will not emerge, no matter how many ladders or sprint sessions are programmed.
Most speed training focuses on external patterns.
What actually governs speed is internal capacity.
FRS Speed Summit IV focuses on the biological foundations that determine the capacity for speed in the first place:
• How connective tissues store and release elastic energy
• How force–time characteristics constrain acceleration and change of direction
• How positional strength influences the ability to “catch velocity”
• How tissue-specific loading strategies alter force transmission through the system
This is not a seminar focused on speed mechanics alone.
It is an examination of the structures that make speed possible.
The summit examines how the biological structures that govern force and elasticity are developed and accessed under progressively faster loading, moving from positional strength to rotational dynamics to linear velocity and high-speed contraction.
The material integrates the Functional Range Systems® framework:
• Tissue-specific loading strategies
• Force production and absorption across joint systems
• The relationship between positional strength and velocity expression
The goal is simple:
If speed is the output you want, you must first address the tissues that produce it.
Build capacity. Produce speed.
